Brado Martin

Brado is a multi-media collage artist, zine-maker and mail artist based in Minneapolis. Their venture into creative work began in the digital realm, experimenting with found images to create new compositions. This process would then inform their exploration of analog collage, using vintage magazines and ephemera to cut and paste the old-fashioned way. These paper collages tend to be more abstract, emphasizing color and texture rather than focusing on subject matter in an effort to elicit a feeling of wonder or awe. Brado has since gone on to contribute to the Twin Cities Collage Collective, helping bridge the gap between multidisciplinary artists around the globe.
